A man can be seen speaking to two officers while holding the large weapon behind his back on Leytonstone High Road, Harrow Green, east London.

One officer can be seen pointing a taser gun directly at the man in his 30s who appears to be shouting at them.

Moments later the man turns his back on the police before attempting to briskly walk away – waving the blade in his hands.

He takes a few steps before attempting to pick up his speed and begins to run.

After repeated warnings from the officers to drop the knife, one cop tasers him as he flees.

The man instantly falls to the ground – dropping the weapon in the process.

The suspect can be heard screaming from pain as the taser’s volts run through his body.

Within seconds of being tasered, police sirens echo through the streets as back up vehicles arrive at the scene.

The man, aged in his 30s, was subsequently detained under the Mental Health Act.

It comes after a stabbing victim who set up a London based weapons amnesty, revealed a video showing rusty “infection ridden” machetes.

Yesterday it was revealed that gangs are “forcing kids to take blades to school to get themselves expelled”.
