Mass Brawl when Russian Boxer Gets Attacked by Spectators
On April 25, 2026, a professional boxing match in Trabzon, Turkey, descended into a violent mass brawl after Russian boxer Sergey Gorokhov was attacked by spectators in the ring. The incident occurred at the Beşirli Sports Hall during a headline fight for the Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) World Championship belt between Gorokhov and local Turkish favorite Emirhan Kalkan. Tensions flared during the third round when Gorokhov’s team allegedly made disrespectful gestures or exhibited unsportsmanlike behavior toward the Turkish side. Following a knockout victory for Gorokhov, dozens of spectators stormed the ring. Local Turkish authorities have officially opened an investigation to identify the individuals who stormed the ring and initiated the assault. |
