A 36-year-old woman was brutally attacked by her ex-partner in an event that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, Febr. 24. 2021 on route PY03 on the corner of Gral. Garay Avenue in Mariano Roque Alonso.

The victim was injured and was admitted to the Yrendagüé hospital of the Social Security Institute (IPS), while the aggressor is wanted by the Police.

The images of the attack of which a young woman was the victim by her ex-partner this morning in Roque Alonso went viral. The recordings were provided by a company in whose closed circuit the brutal attack was recorded.

The complaint of the attack was filed by the young woman's brother at the 10th police station of Central Ciudad de Mariano Roque Alonso.

In the video you can see how the man reaches the corner in question and starts a conversation with the woman who can already be seen upset.

After trying to hug her and hold her, when she refuses, he throws her to the floor with excessive violence.

The young woman remains motionless on the ground because she apparently hit her head against the perimeter cordon of the parking lot where they were.

Not satisfied with this, the man kicked her numerous times, and then dragged her by her hair to the vehicle in which she was traveling, but since the girl was unconscious, he could not lift her up.

There he gets back into her car, but gets out of it and kicks her again in the face and head, to ensure that she doesn't get up from it.

After the terrible attack on the woman, the man – who was identified as Paulo Sergio Samudio Sanabria – left the scene in his vehicle and left the beaten and unconscious woman to his fate.

After the complaint was filed with the police station, police officers are searching for the cowardly aggressor.

This unfortunate event occurs, paradoxically, on the day of commemoration of Paraguayan women.

The Luque Sentencing Court today sentenced Paulo Sergio Samudio Sanabria to 29 years of imprisonment, after finding him guilty of attempted feminicide against his ex-partner, an event that occurred in February 2021, at a service station located in Mariano Roque Alonso . The brutal attack was recorded by security cameras and generated public indignation when it was broadcast.

“Today I can say that justice exists, starting today, I will live more peacefully,” declared the victim Cynthia Carolina Díaz after the sentence was announced. The woman was left with severe head injuries and fractures to her jaw. “It is the first time we have had a conviction like this,” acknowledged the plaintiff lawyer, Óscar Tuma.

The Prosecutor's Office verified with “conclusive elements” the guilt of the man, who had three arrest warrants against him for cases of violence. The defendant threw a chair at the journalists present at the reading of the sentence.
