Man is Beaten for Nazi Salute, Racist Remarks Against Sepultura's Vocalist
07/18/2023, Brazil- The Civil Police investigates a case of apology for Nazism and racist offenses that occurred during a show by the band Sepultura in Fortaleza. The suspect was assaulted by several people who witnessed the case. According to witness reports to police officers, a man present at the show made racist insults to the group's vocalist, the American Derrick Green, who is black; then he made typical Nazi gestures. The suspect did not have his identity revealed. After uttering the offenses, several people who were nearby assaulted the man; then he was expelled from the concert hall. The Civil Police also investigates the case of beating. "The Civil Police guides people who have been injured to file a police report in any unit of the Civil Police, to pass on more details about the case," the police said in a statement. The case occurred on July 8, during Metal Weekend, a festival with the participation of heavy metal bands in Fortaleza. The images of the aggression were shared on social networks. Source |
