Re: Mall Fight Between Two Teenagers in New Jersey
From what I'm seeing, the black kid pushes the white kid's finger out of his face and then the white kid pushes the black kid. Then the black kid throws punches. When the officers approach, the black kid is on the ground with the white kid standing over him and either punching him or holding him down. The officers let the white kid sit down while they handcuff the black kid. |

Re: Mall Fight Between Two Teenagers in New Jersey
All this talk of "they sat down the white guy" but "took down the black guy" and how it's 'racism' (rolling eyes). I don't see the situation that way. Take a look at the officers. The female officer (who would naturally be less physical as it is) sat down the offender she was with. The male officer (who would naturally be more physical) makes the choice of apprehending/restraining the suspect. If the white officer were paired with the young white man, I think we would have seen the same results. So, I don't see this situation as a racial issue but actions determined by the gender of the officers. At least that's how I'm seeing it. It's really tiresome hearing people jump to racism at every opportunity! This is not the 1960's Civil Rights era! |
