I am proud to be Kenyan. Many of my cousins have excelled in their academic studies, some being able to attend Universities in other countries. Both my parents were college educated and had well paying careers in Kenya. Getting an education in Kenya, not a fucking joke, it's competitive, rigorous and strict. My mom single handedly paid for many of my cousins to attend school, from elementary to high school. Both my sisters are academically gifted. My young teen cousin who lives in the states, has been at the top of his class, every single year.

You can look at us all you want, see our brown skin, hear that we are African, and believe we are nothing, we are worth nothing. That's your hate. But I tell you...when karma visits....remember me wishing you unimaginable hurt.
