A man in a state of intoxication, wearing shorts and sandals, assaulted two municipal police officers who were trying to arrest him in Mexico. Just before the intoxicated man originally brandished a knife, prompting witnesses or local authorities to call for municipal police backup.

The drunk man taunted the officers before lunging at two of them, who grapple with him and one nearly loses his service weapon.

The altercation ended only when a man in civilian clothes arrived to assist the officers and subdue the aggressor.
