guims79, why would it matter who the butcher is or how he chooses to run his business? He doesn't want to lose out on a share of the market. "Halal" isn't poisonous, you know. It's like a relaxed form of Kosher.

And another fact is, HALAL IS NOT MY CULTURE, worst when I don't really know what kind of meat I buy to the supermarket because, of course, it has to be stipulate, when it's not halal, but, it's not the same in reverse. In Paris, it's now known that 95% of meat is Halal.

I don't think you're racist. Just frustrated. And I agree with you regarding the labelling of meats. People should have a choice in what they eat. If they, for whatever reason, don't want "halal" chicken then they shouldn't be forced into it.

As an animal lover, I do hope you thoroughly investigate the source of your meats and how the animals are treated before they are slaughtered.

Out of curiosity, would you eat Kosher meat?

Absolutely not, why make a difference with kosher meat? Same deal. Muslims and jews, making war in my counrty, that's bullshit, this is not jerusalem, here, this is France.
