Re: I Don't Have a Problem with You
The guy was walking away after he talked a bunch of "tough guy" shit to the aggressors; saying stuff like "if I weren't wearing glasses... then.. blah blah blah.." I totally agree with you that violence should be the last resort, but then at the same time DON'T go around unnecessarily provoking people to get more aggressive than they already are. If he would have just said literally nothing or not engaged in talking with them, perhaps the situation would have turned out differently. Nobody knows for sure. But starting to shit-talk and act tough is going to get you the kind of response you are (hopefully) trying to avoid in the first place. Just remain calm, don't provoke, and walk away (but stay alert). That's the best defence. |

Re: I Don't Have a Problem with You
I agree. Violence is never the answer unless it’s in self defense. This guy was not acting in self defense. He was acting out of emotion. You can't seriously believe that little bitch kick posed a threat to his life or limb? It didn't. He didn't even look like he was going to fall because of it. Had he fallen, at that point then yes he could have died AND THEN HE MIGHT Have an argument for self defense. The way this played out, the bad guy practically egged him on, he got pissy, retaliated, and got some brain damage as a result. Look; I don't think it's okay for anyone to allow others to put their hands on them without permission. Especially in the disrespectful way that guy kicked him. HOWEVER, you have to think about your life. You don't know if he has a gun. You don't know if his buddies are standing behind you. You're all alone facing a bunch of guys that don't like you AND who clearly are buddies. That is not the time to turn your back towards them and it certainly isn't the time to allow one little pussy ass kick to rope you into a conflict. Fights are life and death things man... If you walk away YOU WIN. Honor is important to me, and if anyone did that "kick," thing to me THEIR ASSHATS ARE GETTING FUCKED UP. Then again, I wouldn't put myself in a position where THAT would happen to me. I would never escalate a bad situation like he did, nor would I show them my back and I would have seen that kick coming a mile away. It is his fault. He returned after the guy threw a kick at him. If he was smart he would have never allowed them to get so close and he would have walked away without turning his back to them in the first place. He fucked up by returning AFTER he walked away, he fucked up by allowing his emotions to dictate his actions, he fucked up by CLEARLY being out of shape, turning his back to them, having his hands in his pockets while being so close, walking up to a group of obviously hostile men by himself, throwing a bitch ass punch without any sort of defense nor follow-up strategy and by cursing at them in the beginning (everyone is always 1 bad word away from starting a hell of a fight). So YEAH; he fucked up a lot. |
