The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said school officials at Monterey Trails High School called for medical assistance around 2 p.m. for a 15-year-old student who had trouble breathing. A parent of the child transported him to a hospital for treatment. The sheriff's office at this time believes the student's injuries come from multiple blunt force trauma to the upper body caused by the student who attacked him.
