Fascinating. I wonder what provoked it. Lou Costello on the set of his TV show in the 1950s provoked someone in the crew so they switched out the baked candy bottle prop with a real bottle, and Lou got bonked on the head hard on live TV as the audience clearly saw it was a real bottle and gasped. But he was a professional, like Jerry Lewis (who slipped and seriously injured himself on Andy Williams' live variety show), and went right on with the show even though he had a dent in his skull. Based on that footage, the attack on the homeless man, as well as the attack towards the well dressed guy, were both unreasonable. Suit guy walked towards the homeless man, sucker punched him sans any provocation. The homeless man fucked up too though. After he got punched, the aggressor created distance.... so when the homeless man WALKED UP TO HIM, he fucked up. Using that bottle as a deadly weapon and causing great bodily injury was not lawful at that point.
