2024. Police have arrested two men who were involved in a fight at a retail shop in Seberang Jaya, Malaysia, after a video of their actions appeared on social media.

District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Helmi Aris said his department had detected a video showing the fight between the two men at about 9.45am and investigations found that the incident occurred on June 3 (Monday), at about 11.50pm at a retail shop.

During the incident, an employee at the premises was approached by two male customers, one of whom asked for liquor. However, there was a misunderstanding between the customer and the employee involved until they fought inside the premises," he said in a statement.

He said the fight then continued outside the premises when the dissatisfied customer then hit the shop employee on the back of the head with a helmet. One of them was slightly injured in the face.

The police arrested both individuals involved to assist in the investigation under Sections 324 and 323 of the Penal Code and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955.
