The victim is A.S. He is the General Chairperson of the NGO, the Gorontalo Province Millennial Activist Movement (GAM PG). A. experienced quite severe physical violence, he admitted that he was grateful to still be safe.

However, he admitted to experiencing pain in several parts of his body. His right hand fingers suffered minor injuries and scratches.

The four perpetrators appeared to use blunt objects in the form of wood, and not just bare hands in carrying out their actions.

The video shows the weak victim trying to fight back with wood, but eventually fell to the side of the road after receiving repeated blows.

The perpetrators then fled on two motorbikes, namely a gray Yamaha N Max and a Honda Genio.

Ironically, the cruel act was witnessed by a number of other motorists passing by, but none of them stepped in to help the victim.

It is suspected that because they were afraid, they chose to only watch from a distance.

The police are still investigating the report and examining the available evidence, including video recordings from residents.
