U.K, Traveller brothers 'chased pub customers with hammers and knuckledusters before ramming have-a-go heroes who tried to stop mayhem in quiet Surrey town' according to a pub landlady.

Karen Simmons bolted her doors to protect customers inside during the carnage on Friday night after a pub row sparked a rampage that left a teenage motorcyclist injured and a trail of destruction in Godalming. Residents say an argument broke out at The Leathern Bottle, moments before the driver was seen ramming nearby cars.

In the alleged rampage, a teenage motorcyclist was sent flying across the bonnet of the suspects' Land Rover and left lying motionless in the road as they sped away.

Ms Simmons said: 'I haven't slept properly since and am frightened they might come back. Everyone has been left very shaken.'

Multiple cars parked outside her pub were damaged as the Land Rover, which had learner plates and no lights on, swerved dangerously across the road and onto pedestrian areas.

The carnage allegedly began when the brothers, who are thought to be travellers from Whitley Bay and aged 17 and 24, arrived at the pub at about 8.30pm last Friday.

Both were asked for ID and the younger brother was refused alcohol.

He was served a Coke instead and at first seemed to take it well, according to Ms Simmons, with both brothers chatting to customers, many of whom included her regulars.

She said: 'They were chatting to people and one customer actually said how nice they were. Then the 17-year-old switched and just turned, very unexpectedly.'

The younger brother allegedly became aggressive when a customer gently intervened as he was speaking to Ms Simmons' 16-year-old son Joe.

Ms Simmons said: 'He became verbally abusive with my son and the customer after about half an hour, saying to the customer, 'Who the fuck are you?''

The customer, who has not been named, apologised but the teenager allegedly responded with the threat: 'I will go and get a gun right now and shoot you right here.'

He is also said to have threatened to 'go and get an axe and chop your head in half'.

Ms Simmons ordered him to leave but when he refused, the pair were forcibly thrown out by a customer.

The landlady, who runs the pub with her partner Glenn Goodwin, said: 'I was on my own that night and a couple of my regulars are quite protective when Glenn is not around and there if I need them.'

She said she was terrified as the teenager was more than 6ft and 'huge for his age'.

She held open the pub garden gate while a customer escorted the brothers out, then bolted the doors to keep customers inside safe.

Ms Simmons said instead of leaving, the teenager then punched the customer in the back with a knuckleduster, then the two brothers grabbed hammers from the back of their van and began chasing the customer across a car park.

A friend in the car park saw the alleged assault and held open the door of his BMW convertible so the terrified customer could jump in.

But instead of retreating, the brothers allegedly jumped into their vehicle, with the younger brother said to be driving, and repeatedly rammed the BMW until the stationary vehicle shot across a grass verge.

After shunting an empty BMW several metres forward, the Land Rover driver then pulls out of the nearby junction onto the A3100 and collides with a motorbike.

Video shows the teenage rider being flung into the air in the crash before smashing into the ground. Family members say the boy escaped with just minor injuries.

Ms Simmons said: 'He went to hospital but luckily escaped with scratches and bruises. His family are very shaken and Joe is very disturbed by what happened.

'It is a miracle no one was seriously hurt.'

The landlady said the two men in the BMW were heroes: 'A customer in his car happened to see in his rear view mirror as his friend was being chased with hammers and opened the car door for him to jump in, in the nick of time.

'They are both shaken up after being rammed repeatedly but they were not injured thankfully.'

Just like americans. However, Americans travelers behave like white trash. I have seen this white entitlement many times. Shameful sometimes to see them this way. I often travel as Canadian because americans sometimes behave like total idiots.

People have made comparisons in this thread but there really is no comparison to be made between white trash and travellers who take their own brand of aggression and violence wherever they go.

They take land that's not theirs and destroy it, they leave human waste there, they intimidate the locals, threaten people, steal, and are extremely hostile to any criticism when they're caught doing any of the above.

They think they can do as they please and quite often even the police don't want to get involved, quite unreal, there are many apologists for travellers, none of them have obviously ever had them taking over land they use or been assaulted by them.
