Geddes, NY - Hard rock fans did get a loud start to the holiday weekend with the K-Rock Dysfunctional Family BBQ May 2011 at the state fairgrounds' Chevy Court.
But police say a few people at the event got a little too rowdy.
As bands rocked out, about a dozen small scuffles broke out throughout the day, Onondaga County Sheriff's Sgt. Richard McCarron said.
No one was seriously injured, and Chestnut Street Security, a private security firm at the event, handled most of the scuffles and other problems.
Around 4:20 p.m., security officers escorted 22-year-old Ashley M. Hutchins, of 7512 Railroad St., Lowville, out of Chevy Court after she got into a fight with another woman near a mosh pit. Neither woman was injured, McCarron said.
After security escorted Hutchins -- who was intoxicated -- outside the gate, McCarron said, the woman tried to get back in, yelling and threatening people.
Hutchins is accused of taking a swing at a security officer, but not striking anyone, McCarron said.
When McCarron handcuffed Hutchins, McCarron said Hutchins "tried to pull away, screaming, yelling and kicking at us. It was so fruitless. It was the evil of booze."
Hutchins was charged with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and trespass and disorderly conduct, both violations.
She was sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center, pending arraignment in Geddes Town Court.
