When Nabeel died, the other boys tried to fool the family by telling his mother that he died in a bike accident. However, his father who works in Saudi Arabia rushed here and found things suspicious and lodged a complaint at Mirchowk police station.
The college students had placed bets on Nabeel and Mohammed. But the fight turned deadly as Mohammed mercilessly punched Nabeel on the head, chest and abdomen. Nabeel collapsed and died on the spot.
Later, a youth who recorded the fight until Nabeel collapsed and died gave the clip to police. In his statement he told the police, that seven friends had decided to hold the friendly wrestling match which ended in Nabeel’s death.
