Fight Ends with Man Getting Shot.
Happened earlier today by where I live. my city is going crazy. Heres the story. CORPUS CHRISTI-A fight at a Stripes convenience store Wednesday night, ended with one person shot in the hand. Action 10 News obtained video of the whole confrontation from someone at the scene. Police said it started with two men fighting over a parking space at the Stripes along I-37 at Nueces Bay. They were separated briefly by a guy in a gray shirt. Then they go after each other again and quickly separated by a guy in a white hat. After the truck backed up and lunged forward, the guy in the white hat pulled a gun and fired once at the driver. The driver of the truck then took off and headed South on I-37 and over the Harbor Bridge. Police caught up to it near Moore Avenue in Portland. It turned out, the man in the truck was hit in both hands by the single shot. He went to the hospital in Aransas Pass. Officers did not arrest the shooter who claimed he was just defending himself. The men fighting are not facing charges yet either. That will be up to the district attorney's office after prosecutors see the video and read statements from everyone involved. Video is not very long, But it's something. |
