DR. The attack occurred while the victim was at a restaurant with her sisters. Her ex-partner arrived on a motorcycle and began arguing, displaying aggressive and persistent behavior.

According to witnesses, the man got off the motorcycle carrying a machete and began attacking her, striking her repeatedly. The woman tried to defend herself with her hands while bystanders pleaded with him to stop.

After being attacked, the victim lay unconscious on the ground bleeding profusely due to the severity of the wounds, while his attacker left the scene and subsequently ingested poison.

Both were immediately taken to the hospital, where they remain in critical condition. The woman suffered severe cuts from the machete, while the man is battling the effects of the poison he ingested.

Family members explained that the couple had ended their relationship approximately three months prior.

A previous incident had occurred in December where the aggressor attempted to physically harm the victim, including strangulation attempts.
