Re: EURO2016 Russian Hooligans Vs English

good...fuck them...and fuck football too....pathetic game supported by douchebags who wouldn't know a real sport if it hit them in the face
There isn't any need to attack the sport because of a few groups of idiots at an international tournament. It's the best sport in the world

Anyway...how this tournament has been policed is embarrassing, france have fucked it up again, you'd think they'd learn from the troubles during WC98 (which was mainly in Marseille).

And I'm not going to make excuses for England fans either, they've been an embarrassment too. They have contributed in smashing up Marseille to bits, along with the locals and Russians. And now it's starting in Lille I watched a video earlier today showing fans lobbing coins on the floor for tiny children to pick up, then as they are picking the coins up they throw coins at them, it's just shocking and embarrassing.

Knob heads.

I'm french. And I totaly agree about the policed thing. You've got to know, this is chaos in Paris since a month now, every "riots sections" are in operation to the town, government can't deal easy with mass protests against a new fresh bad law.

A policeman is between life and death because of mass lynching two weeks ago.

In adition, terrorist threat everywhere. Government in burning out.

But anyway, and less seriously, soccer is a shitty game, played by shitty milionnairs, idolized by shitty fans. Look how in rugby or ice hockey, players can be so tough, but crowd respectful of the game, the ref, the opponent, and it's fan club.

I agree with the first part of your post, and that's what I think is happening...French police are more geared up and focusing on anything terrorist related. The whole thing is shambles tbh fella.

But your comparison is way off the mark, football is a much greater sport in terms of how many people actually follow it compared to either of the sports you mentioned.

You don't see England playing Russia in an International tournament in either sport, do you? and the attendances are tiny in comparison.

These are big international tournaments, where tensions are quite high atm moment due to what's been going on around the world with wars etc that's what started all of this in Marseille, local muslims attacking England fans...and of course, England fans react, just as most fans would of any major nation of any sport.

Just because more people follow a specific sport, it doesn't make it better. It means that more money has been pumped into marketing the sport over the years so companies can make more money.

I prefer F1 tbh. Much more intense sport, and money still plays a big part if you're a good driver. Brake a second too late and it could be your last race potentially last day breathing.
