Re: That Escalated Quickly from Mop to Axe
Saw this yesterday in my twitterfeed and was thinking of posting it but Kelly beat me to it. It serves as an excellent companion feature to the other new video I saw in the same thread of a random chinese guy on the street taking a meat clever to a random chinese woman with her child and hacking at her so badly she had blood coming from her mouth as several passersby utterly ignored them then he hacked his own hand off (or nearly so). I don't know if I got the stomach for this anymore |

Re: That Escalated Quickly from Mop to Axe
Buddy should have created some distance for obvious reasons, but also in case the guy knew how to throw it properly. Instead, he just stood there in disbelief, as if there was no way he could possibly use that hatchet for anything other than intimidation |

Bad tempers. As long as the other guys doesn’t die, then the attacker is good to go besides paying the medical bills and a bit for pain and suffering.

Re: That Escalated Quickly from Mop to Axe
Do they do the same for crimes like this as they do for vehicle accidents? Where it's better if the victim is dead because then they just pay a few hundred-thousand dollars to the family and go on with their life. Whereas if the victim is injured, they face a lifetime of paying medical bills.

Re: That Escalated Quickly from Mop to Axe
The mop actually would have made a better weapon than the hatchet. Give a choice between the two, I'm taking the mop. Properly handled, keeps hatchet guy at a distance (using the non-mop side, obviously). Couple of pokes to the midsection, solar plexus or balls, and its game over.
