Eight Year Old Boy Brutally Attacks 6 Year Old Girl in Classroom
India. An eight-year-old boy in the third grade repeatedly attacked a six-year-old kindergarten girl, who has special needs, on school premises in Panchkula, Haryana. Footage shows the boy striking the victim’s head with a stone, kicking her, throwing a flower pot at her, and even dragging her body, by which point she had already lost consciousness, across the floor. The footage of the incident went viral, sparking global outrage. Many have raised concerns about the influence that films and digital content depicting extreme violence may have on children’s behavior. Because he is under the age of criminal responsibility (under Indian law, children aged 7-12 require special psychological evaluation to determine maturity), he is undergoing a strict medical and psychological examination by authorities to assess his mental state. Investigation revealed that the boy allegedly lured the girl to an empty classroom on the first floor of the school by falsely claiming her father was waiting for her. He then locked the door and assaulted her with a brick and a flower pot. The motive behind the extreme violence remains unknown. The Panchkula Police, led by DCP Crime Amrinder Singh, are aggressively investigating the school administration. A major lapse in security has been flagged, as the brutal attack lasted for over 25 minutes on campus without any staff members noticing, despite the CCTV feed being directly connected to the principal's office. |
