F. Y, used a 24.8 inch long Japanese sword to slash four cars passing through a shopping mall area in Singapore before attacking pedestrian Mr. K. A. A.C. with three slashes and causing lacerations on the victim's arm and shoulder.

F.Y. was later found guilty of crimes including endangering another person's life and intentionally causing injury with a dangerous weapon. Two other charges were considered in sentencing. He received a one and a half year prison sentence.

Police said F.Y. allegedly took several drugs of unknown origin before leaving the house with a sword and arriving at the shopping mall.
