A father was seen attacking the man accused of killing his son during a court hearing in South Carolina on Thursday.

Lindy Jones, a convicted killer, was in an Orangeburg County courtroom when the incident occurred.

Not long after the victim's family stood to address the court, video shows the victim's father rushing at Jones.

Security officers can be seen pulling the men off of each other while they were on the ground.

Jones pleaded guilty to killing 18-year-old Willie Antoine Fields in August 2019.

Fields, who had been reported missing, was later found shot to death.

Jones and his brother were eventually arrested and charged in relation to Fields' death.

Fields' father, Willie Clay Fields, was charged with one count each of contempt of court and third-degree assault and battery after Thursday's courtroom attack.
