Councilor Headbutts Lawyer at Reception of City Council

According to the police report registered on Wednesday afternoon (12) by the victim, the lawyer went to the City Council, around 5:30 pm, and asked the receptionist if a project had already been voted on.

A councilor who was passing through the reception replied that the project had been postponed for a week.

Also according to the police record, city councilor Leandro Moreira left the plenary, passed by the place, approached the lawyer and said: “divulge that list again”, and hit him with a headbutt.

The victim was rescued by witnesses and taken to the emergency room of the city, where he underwent tests and had to give stitches to close the wound.

The councilor said that he is the author of the chair reduction project, which was voted and approved by the Legislature on Tuesday night. He says that before starting the session he was approached by the lawyer and the two started to argue.

According to Leandro Moreira, the discussion heated up and he was verbally assaulted so he headbutted the lawyer.
