Napoli fan shot during fighting before Coppa Italia final dies in hospital • Incident happened before match against Fiorentina in May (09/03/2014) • 29-year-old Ciro Esposito shot in chest outside stadium. Rome, August 1 - The interior ministry's sporting events committee on Friday asked Serie A to schedule next season's league matches between AS Roma and Napoli during the daytime. Tension between the two sets of fans is high as a Roma supporter is accused of shooting Neapolitan Ciro Esposito before May's Italian Cup final in the capital. Esposito died in a Rome hospital on June 25. AS Roma fan Daniele De Santis is accused of shooting him during trouble before the Cup final, in which Napoli beat Fiorentina 3-1. Daytime matches are considered easier to police than games played at night. The committee also asked Serie A to make the two derby matches between Roma and city rivals Lazio daytime games to reduce the risk of violence. MORE INFO |

NEWS 16/09/2014 De Santis fu accoltellato da ultrà del Napoli Daniele De Santis, l'ultrà accusato di avere sparato a Ciro Esposito, fu accoltellato. E' quanto si legge nel referto dei medici del reparto protetto dell'ospedale Belcolle di Viterbo dove attualmente è ricoverato. Il particolare emerge per la prima volta e verrà acquisito agli atti dalla Procura di Roma.
