Teenager attacks a bus driver and surveillance cameras capture it all.

It started when the bus driver told the teen his ticket was no good.

The teen takes a swing, and the driver fights back.

While the fight goes on, there is no one at the steering wheel, and the bus crashes into three parked vehicles.

The driver has been fired, his union is trying to get his job back.

The teenager is facing charges for assault and endangering safety.

Both are felonies.

saw this. dont really give a shit if your a rignt wing cunt or not, his union should be supported IMO. He was attacked while in control of a large moving vehicle. The only time the threat was clear was just before the collison. While I would agree that the actions of the driver could have been better he does not deserve to be fired.

the argument they will use will be with regard to procedure, they will argue that you shouldnt leave the 'cab' unless it was necessary. The footage shows it was, therefore the problem is with what happened after.

They feel that at some point he should have gone straight back to the wheel, thus saving any damage to the nice cars (property over life and saftey children) perhaps he should have but even a court of law would argue in his favour, the threat was not over untill it was too late.

This is the power of insurance companys. Lives lost - who gives a fuck. Some cars were damaged - someone needs to pay and we will fight tooth and nail to make sure its not us

Both are idiots. I certainly wouldn't want to be on public transportation with a bus driver that puts precedence in brawling over common sense and the safety of passengers and other drivers/predestrians. Have no problem with him losing his job, or the teen-prick getting convicted.

I'd bet that if the driver had not fought back, and was either incapacitated or knocked out, the bus would have also crashed.
It wasn't like the driver had a choice, he was attacked while he was sitting down.

I sure hope his Union hires the necessary people to help fight this dismissal or monetary restitution.
The driver had no choice for 00.21 seconds but to defend himself with whatever means possible.
He had only 4 seconds to regain control over the vehicle before it hit the parked vehicles.
