Not staged, the way he looked after falling down was pretty convincing and the sound by the kick was pretty good, it also hit him clearly.

I've ko'ed quite a few guys and either he's an incredibly good actor, or he did indeed get ko'ed. Also, most of the people who study things like TKD and etc look weak and scrawny, but the fact that they surprise their bullies like that kind of makes them seem gods to other kids. Which is why he is not known as a strong fighter, but he may be known as one now.
