British Man Fights Police Officers at Frankfurt Airport Over Delayed Flight
Footage has emerged showing the moment a British man attacked police officers at an airport in Germany during an apparent rage over delayed flights. The video shows the man aggressively confronting staff at Frankfurt Airport before launching the assault at a check-in gate. The man can be seen kicking and punching three police officers during the rampage on 23 July before he eventually drops to the ground and is restrained. He is then approached by two women who are believed to be known to the man. The fight is believed to have broken out after the British citizen was angry about the cancellation of his flight back home as a result of bad weather, with affected thousands of passengers attempted to fly out of Frankfurt Airport on 23 July. The man also appears to shout "I am a British citizen" before launching the attack. A Frankfurt Police spokesperson said: "Due to the bad weather in the night from Friday to Saturday flights were cancelled. Several thousand passengers were stranded at the airport. A 38-year-old English passenger (who wanted to fly to England) was at the info desk and verbally attacked an airline employee. "In addition, members of the federal police attempted to calm the situation down. Unfortunately without success – it suddenly came to a physical confrontation of colleagues with the passenger. "The colleagues and the passenger were slightly injured. Frankfurt police are investigating the English passenger over an alleged assault." Police were also keen to downplay suggestions the attack was terrorist related, saying such speculation could lead to "anxiety". |

Apparently he was also angry because his wife was knocked to the ground by security staff. This clip is also being circulated as 'terrorist activity', which it isn't. I love that the crowds are whooping! A welcome distraction in a boring airport building, to make the wait seem quicker!   |
