Six people were shot to death inside a duplex in Delavan, Wisconsin, on the night of June 9, 2007, in a case police concluded was a murder-suicide carried out by a 23-year-old father who killed his own children and their mother before taking his own life.

The dead were Nicole Marie McAffee, 19; her sister, Ashley Lynn Huerta, 21; a family friend, Vanessa Iverson, 19; McAffee's infant twin sons, Isaiah and Argenis Analco, both less than a year old; and the twins' father, Ambrosio Analco. Investigators said Analco went to the home on South Second Street, about two blocks from the police station, and opened fire on everyone inside.

A man who was in the duplex escaped by climbing onto a second-story roof and jumping to the ground, then called 911. Officers who reached the scene found the victims throughout the residence, according to authorities.

The couple's young daughter was shot in the chest and survived. She was hospitalized in Madison and was later taken in by relatives, family members said.

Delavan Police Chief Tim O'Neill said autopsies and the physical evidence supported a single conclusion. "All agencies are confident this was a murder-suicide," he said. Analco died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Relatives described a relationship marked by jealousy and threats. According to members of Analco's family, he and McAffee argued often, and he had said he would kill everyone in the home if he believed she was seeing another man. The Walworth County district attorney called the killings "clearly a domestic situation."

The victims, including the infant twins, were buried in the days that followed.
