Off-duty Officer Fatal Shooting Near 8500 West Winona
Chicago police officers were sent to a call related to a domestic disturbance near 8500 West Winona Street. When they arrived, officers learned the two people involved were off duty, married, and members of the Chicago Police Department. A struggle over a gun was reported, and the gun discharged. Officer Jacqueline Villasenor fatally shot Officer German Villasenor. Officer Jacqueline Villasenor has since been charged criminally.
