Two burglary suspects were arrested inside an 82-year-old woman's Denham Springs, Louisiana, home on Feb. 27, 2010, after their getaway truck sank into mud outside, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.

The woman was napping at her home on 4-H Club Road when two men kicked in her door, grabbed her shotgun and tried to flee. Their truck got stuck before they could get away.

The woman called 911 as one of the men, identified by deputies as Kip Bryant, went back inside to search for the keys to her car. Bryant picked up the phone himself and began talking to dispatcher Pat Varley, telling her he had a grandmother of his own and did not want to scare anyone.

"I'm in the woman's house right now. I don't want to scare nobody," Bryant told Varley, according to a recording of the call. "I came back and I talked to the lady just now and said, look, I ain't no trouble. I don't come and bust in nobody's house like this."

Varley kept Bryant talking while relaying his location inside the home to deputies. Authorities said Bryant, 41, and an accused accomplice, 27-year-old Theron Hadley, were caught inside the residence and arrested.

Both were booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on burglary charges. Ronnie Cotton, who oversees the Livingston Parish 911 call center, called it one of the more unusual calls his staff has taken and said officials planned to use the recording as a training example for dispatchers.
