Mom Shoots Her Two Daughters, Gets Shot by Police (911 Call)
A domestic dispute escalated into a tragic incident in Texas, where a mother fatally shot her two daughters before being killed by law enforcement, according to officials. The incident, which took place on Friday, involved 42-year-old Christy Sheats and her daughters, Taylor Sheats, 22, and Madison Sheats, 17, as identified by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday. Upon receiving 911 calls reporting gunfire shortly after 5 p.m., police arrived at the scene to discover the daughters on the street. An official statement revealed that an officer neutralized the armed woman after she failed to surrender her weapon. At the scene, one daughter was pronounced dead, while the other succumbed to her injuries at a hospital. Investigators are probing the motive behind the shooting, suspecting it stemmed from a preceding altercation among the family members. "It appears a domestic dispute escalated into this tragic event," Sheriff Troy Nehls explained to the Houston Chronicle, noting the ongoing investigation to clarify the circumstances. |

Apparently the mother nearly died a couple months ago from a black widow spider bite, so it's possible that may have been a contributing factor, but who knows.  I think it's probably safe to assume the father won't be celebrating his birthday in the future for quite a while.
