Jeremy Lloyd Martin, 23, was arrested in Clackamas County in late June 2009 after repeatedly calling 911 to complain that a McDonald's order was short, according to The Oregonian and CBS News, which cited Portland television station KATU.

Martin told a dispatcher he had paid $10 at a McDonald's on Southeast 82nd Avenue near the Clackamas Town Center but received only one burger and an order of fries. He said he had been "robbed" of the rest, the news organizations reported.

A dispatcher told him the complaint was not an emergency and to take it up with the restaurant's manager. Martin called back and threatened to sue the county if officers were not sent.

While Martin was still calling, one of two friends who were with him placed a separate call to 911 and told a dispatcher a McDonald's worker was pointing a gun at him. Officers found no evidence to support the claim.

Police eventually sent a unit to the restaurant. Martin was arrested and charged with improper use of the 911 system, The Oregonian reported, and he spent the night in the Clackamas County Jail. Television station KING 5 reported that his two friends left the scene before officers arrived.

The disposition of the charge could not be confirmed in available records.
