Re: Home Audio from the Byron Smith Burglary Killings

who kept breaking into his house
i say, good for him. he needs to be let out of jail..... i mean, i wouldnt , couldnt do anything like what he did...however home robbery 101 states that this job has some rather hard risk/reward factors

If you listen closely you can hear the girl bleeding out after he shoots her, the "running water" sound.

Re: Home Audio from the Byron Smith Burglary Killings

I think I saw this on an episode of Forensic Files... The use of extensive force is terrible but it's not what irks me; what does is worrying about bothering the police on Thanksgiving. What is his thought process?

Re: Home Audio from the Byron Smith Burglary Killings

I'm on the fence about this case these kids knew what they were doing they did break into his home and we all know if they survived he would be sued for using extensive force in my book if you break into someones home you have no rights whatever happens to you, you asked for it after listening the audio he doesn't seems like crazy person he's smart person if he planned to kill these kids i'm sure he would delete audio recordings because those things were only thing that got him found guilty
Uh, and killing them both isn't use of extensive force?

Yes, these kids kept breaking into his home and he had every right to defend himself, even with weapons *if necessary*. But it wasn't.

Re: Home Audio from the Byron Smith Burglary Killings

I stand firmly that anyone trying to get into your own property should be..... shot!

Maimed preferably.

I wish I didnt live in the UK.

That's just my sexy self.. firing a REAL live firearm.

BUT.... there again, the slight matter... people here do not seem to resort to firearms in the UK.

Except for idiots who don't eat bacon and eggs for breakfast?

Delicious!!!

Daaah?

Re: Home Audio from the Byron Smith Burglary Killings

Though remember the Tony Martin case in the UK? The farmer begged the police to stop the pikeys burgling him but nothing ever happened. So he waited in the darkened house, aiming to fire the gun above the heads of the intruders coming back but accidentally killed one as he came through the window.

There was a huge court case, with most of the public on his side and the PC Establishment doing all they could to back jailing him for life for premeditated murder - which he was sentenced to but was released after a few years anyway due to public fury. After all, hadn't the Bulger killers been released after a few years, and they raped and killed a 4 year-old.

Nobody in power learned any lessons barring appeasing the public. The area's police chief merely said Martin should instead have 'shouted for help'. In the middle of nowhere.

This helps me believe householders need wide ranging immunities. An Englishman's home is his castle.

Re: Home Audio from the Byron Smith Burglary Killings

I only heard of this story a year ago. I did feel bad for his invasion of privacy. I understand these kids did wrong. Regardless of both sides, the law states that you are not to kill someone that isn't armed. He could have held those kids until the police arrived. Dude wanted them dead and moved his truck to lure them in. The dumb asstold cops he did a kill shot to finish her up, respectfully..what he did was against the law and it everything else goes out the window. No prosecutor would take this case, two people breaking in the house, clearly, they weren't guests. This man held more respect in the community. So they obviously took on the case knowing persons would see and hear this man planning this.

Re: Home Audio from the Byron Smith Burglary Killings

In the famous words of a movie I watched once:

"QUIT BREAKING THE LAW, ASSHOLE!"

If you dont want to get shot to death, quit fucking breaking into people's houses and stealing their shit.
