Back in 1993 when this song was just out, I thought Björk was a homeless person that got lucky and fell in with a record producer. I'm sure there was at least a rumour that she was homeless...because in '93 I would never have came up with that idea myself. Enjoy :)
They did a bio about her on VH1 or MTV, not sure which, and as I recall, there was no mention of her ever having been homeless.
