It feels like if he'd immediately hit the gas and steered hard enough left, he might've flopped back down... but good luck controlling it after a 'successful' maneuver like that.

If he had only gunned the engine while sideways with his wheels against the wall, he could have increased his velocity to the point where his forward and centrifugal motion would overcome the friction drag of his car body on the pavement, and carried him into the straight section for a controlled stop upon his side. Did Zane Smith not play with Hot Wheels as a kid? |
