Wrong-way Driver on Highway Hits Oncoming Car in the Fast Lane
Amid the celebrations for the victory of the Argentine national team against Egypt in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup, an unusual accident was recorded on the Pan-American Highway after a Honda CR-V reversing was hit head-on by another that was advancing in the fast lane in the correct direction. (Don't think it's reversing at that speed but more a wrong-way driver to me) The accident occurred around 4 p.m. this Tuesday, moments after the match ended, and was recorded by the cell phone camera of a fan who was just crossing the highway via the pedestrian bridge. For reasons still under investigation, one of the vehicles began reversing. Unfortunately, another vehicle traveling at high speed struck it and then crashed into the shoulder of the road. As a result two people got injured, namely the two drivers (Laura María M. and Martiniano S). |
