Worker Pouring Paint Thinner into a Stove to Stay Warm
Z.Ç, who poured paint thinner into a stove lit for warmth in a workshop in Maltepe, Turkey was seriously injured in the explosion. In Istanbul, three workers lit a stove to stay warm in an aluminum workshop in the Cevizli neighborhood of Maltepe. A friend of his came over and warmed himself by the stove for a while. When the flames subsided, Z.Ç. tried to pour more thinner from the can he was holding. But suddenly, an explosion occurred. Z.Ç. was trapped in the flames. Desperate to escape the flames, Z.Ç. began running around the workshop. After falling to the ground, his colleagues tried to intervene. Health teams took Z.Ç., who was seriously injured after the explosion, to the hospital by ambulance. |
