A 29-year-old woman sustained severe facial injuries after the Perodua Myvi she was driving skidded and crashed into a road guardrail, which pierced the vehicle, in an incident near SMK Naning here on Tuesday. The incident, which occurred at approximately 3:23 PM, also involved the victim's 56-year-old mother, who was in the front passenger seat. Melaka Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Zone 2 Chief, Tc. Zulkhairani Ramli, stated that 10 personnel from the Alor Gajah Fire and Rescue Station were deployed to the scene after an emergency call was received. According to him, the fire and rescue team arrived at the location at approximately 3:34 PM to conduct rescue operations.

"Upon the operations team's arrival at the scene, it was confirmed that a road accident involving a car that had skidded had occurred. The injured victim was handed over to the Ministry of Health (MOH) team for initial treatment and further action, while her mother sustained only minor injuries," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

He added that the operation was brought under control at 3:48 PM and fully concluded at 3:56 PM. Earlier, a video recording had gone viral on social media showing the victim with her face covered in blood following the accident. The victim and her mother were seen still inside the vehicle, while the road guardrail could be seen piercing the front of the car.
