A cement-carrying tractor trailer traveling on National Highway suddenly lost a wheel, rolled onto the road and crashed into a roadside shop, leaving a 44-year-old woman in critical condition.

The driver, N.V.R., 34, was driving a cement-carrying tractor trailer when suddenly the left front axle of the trailer suddenly broke loose, rolled into the left lane and collided with two motorcycles parked by the roadside, causing damage.

The truck wheel then continued to crash into a pork butcher shop and a flower stall, hitting a 44-year-old woman who was standing inside.

The victim suffered multiple injuries and lost consciousness on the spot. She was taken to General Hospital for emergency treatment and later transferred to Cần Thơ Central Hospital.

On January 1st, hospital representatives said the patient had pneumothorax, pulmonary contusion, and multiple bone fractures and had undergone emergency surgery, receiving two units of blood.

The victim is currently out of danger but remains in a serious condition and continues to receive active monitoring and treatment.
