Woman Jumps in Front of Train at a Crowded Platform

In a shocking incident, an unidentified woman jumped in front of train at a crowded platform in Agra Cantonment station on Monday afternoon.

The spin-chilling incident was captured in one of the CCTV cameras installed at railway station.

In the footage, the woman in her late 20s was found standing quietly among the passengers waiting for Visakhapatnam-bound Hirakund express, when she suddenly walked toward edge of the platform number two and jumped right in front of train as it arrived on platform.

Unaware of woman's attempt to suicide, the loco pilots of express continued to pull the coaches of the train and only came to halt when passengers yell about woman's body under train wheels.

The incident took place at around 12.22pm. Though woman survived miraculously, both her legs were amputated above the knee, leaving her shivering in pain in a pool of blood.

The woman remained unconscious under the wheels for nearly 15-minutes before the railway doctors rushed to rescue her.

Dr SK Singh, who first reached at spot with a stretcher, said, "The woman was partially unconscious and was profusely bleeding.

We immediately took her to SN Medical College and Hospital in our railway ambulance, where she was taken into ICU ward."

According to a hospital source, the woman's condition is critical and has little chance to survive.

By the time this report was filed, government railway police were yet to establish the woman's identity.

GRP station officer of Agra Canonment Manikant Sharma said, "The woman seem to be emotionally distraught and had clear intention to commit suicide. Once she regain the conscious, we will question her."

What's worse than a successful suicide attempt? A failed one. Silly woman.

Nothing better than pain to forget your troubles! Might as well rub honey on your ass and sit on a fire ant hill!
