Let's not forget just because someone who have been in an accident seems perfectly fine after it, doesn't mean they really are. Many people who seem okay, just a bit banged up could have internal chest area injuries...hematomas...One case I re,member, a teen driving home crashed his car. Emergency services came out to the site. The kid said he was okay and he'd walk home. He was never checked out. He lived relatively close to the accident site. He never reached home. The cops wouldn't go look for him. So the dad went walking down the road would have taken. Found his son dead along the side of the road. I can't remember what was the exact cause, but i'm thinking something like a hematoma.

One case a guy got hit with a pool stick. He was "fine" after, but died later because he received injury to his brain. Many people don't realize they need to get to the hospital asap...just in case. So hopefully...she really is okay.
