A 19-year-old woman suffered a severe head injury after falling from a moving swinging-bench ride at Panfilov Park in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, at about 8 p.m. on March 31, 2025. She remained in intensive care in serious condition on April 2 with multiple injuries, including a closed head injury and a brain contusion, the Health Ministry said.

Preliminary findings indicated that two safety belts had broken. The park administration disputed that account, saying she had repeatedly pulled her legs out from beneath the restraint bar and had not followed the operator's instructions. Police detained the 24-year-old operator, identified as Sh.A., in a criminal investigation into endangering consumers. The ride's owner was fined 35,000 som, and the park was closed for inspections beginning April 1.
