A Maplewood woman survived after her car went off an overpass in Little Canada last Tuesday.
The crash occurred on the 35E flyover ramp to westbound 694 around 7:24 a.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the Ford Ranger went off the ramp and fell 70-100 feet, landing on a frozen pond.
The Minnesota State Patrol says the woman who was driving is in fair condition at Regions Hospital. She has been identified as 54-year-old Anne Spiess.
The right shoulder was blocked during the incident.
"She went over the edge and then rolled a couple times and landed right on the ice," Tim Boss with the Little Canada Fire Department said. He was in disbelief himself while talking with KSTP about what had happened.
The extreme cold made for icy roads Tuesday morning, leading to numerous spinouts and crashes around the Twin Cities metro.
