Lyncourt, NY -- A Lyncourt woman drove her car into the Domino's Pizza on Teall Avenue Monday night while trying to park.
Elizabeth Lameringole, 24, had stopped in front of the 2022 Teall Ave. business when she accidentally hit the gas and sent the car into the restaurant, deputies said.
There were no customers, but four workers inside. "As soon as they saw her coming, they hopped out of the way," said owner Tim Klering. No one was injured.
The car crashed through the front door, skidded across the waiting area, broke through a dividing wall and destroyed a table, Klering said. It avoided the ovens or other major equipment.
Crews worked late tonight to rip out the damaged countertops and walls. Klering said he hoped to reopen in a few days.
