Wind Picks Up Bounce House, Nearly Hits Kid
A mother in Hickory, North Carolina, shared a video on Facebook showing a bounce house during one of her children’s birthday parties getting picked up by the wind and almost hitting a child. In the video, the bounce house’s straps broke before it began flying in the air and headed toward a boy nearby in the backyard. The mother, Jennifer Beane, said everyone had just gone inside and the boy was still outside to grab a basketball. When the wind picked up, parents inside saw it in the air and the child began screaming for them when everyone ran outside. The child said the bounce house grazed his head and his back but he took off running away from it. “It could have been much, much worse,” Beane wrote on Facebook. “Please, if you get a bounce house be sure to watch out for how bad the winds will be.” |

Re: Wind Picks Up Bounce House, Nearly Hits Kid
lol, we rent bounce houses almost every year for the kids birthday parties. We use the stakes that the rental company drops off with the inflatable to secure it to the ground. These people clearly did not. We did have our trampoline blown into the woodline during a hurricane once though. |

Re: Wind Picks Up Bounce House, Nearly Hits Kid
I used to work bounce-houses for a party company. Then they found out I was filling them with helium and not putting the stakes in, so I got fired. What, like little kids should be the ONLY ones who have fun at a birthday party?!??! |

It was a birthday party FFS. Kids run around and play at parties. If you raise a kid so sheltered that you are up their ass 100% of the time making sure nothing will hurt them, chances are your kid will never move out of your home. |

I didn’t mean to put a leash on them, jeez Haven’t you ever heard of video cameras? Maybe even someone who has a better eye on them to leave a toddler walking around unsupervised? I don’t have any kids. Never wanted them. Still don’t. I understand what you mean but those parents seem a bit lost as are their children.. |

Re: Wind Picks Up Bounce House, Nearly Hits Kid
That's true, but you can solve that problem by putting helium in their bouncy castle. Then they leave whether they want to or not. |
