A big ole pileup at the bottom of the hill, but when the camera panned up to the top, people were still launching themselves to go down the hill. Not bright people, wherever this is.  |

It's a race, you race to win. If you are hauling ass over the top of the hill, ya-know racing, it would be too late to stop as per the whole shitload of them that slid all the way down the face of the hill even after trying to slow down as soon as they could see the pile up...

I love how so many of them just fell over before they even connected with another cyclists. Like they just said “Fuck it” and laid down in solidarity with their fallen brethren.
