At about 11 noon (2024/10/20), a tour bus was driving along Lin Makeng Road. When it reached the bridge deck near the Heung Yuen Wai Port Public Transport Interchange, it was suspected to have entered the wrong lane. It hit the bottom of the overpass above. The driver suffered minor injuries to his eyes, neck and hands. He was conscious and sent to North District Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The police were called to the scene to investigate.

The Transport Department responded to inquiries and stated that the road section involved was designated as a restricted area for vehicles with a height exceeding 2.4 meters 24 hours a day, and corresponding traffic signs were set up.
