Welders Falling from a Scaffolding on Fire
Two people who were carrying out welding work on the structure of a giant catrina on the Playas de Tijuana boardwalk were injured after the “skeleton” began to catch fire. The Tijuana Fire Department reported that the incident occurred at 11:37 pm this Wednesday, October 25, right in the area of the arches, where they are setting up a decoration alluding to the “Day of the Dead.” The report clarifies that two people who were working welding the structure suffered an accident that ended up setting part of a crane on fire, causing the victims to jump to save themselves from the fire. They point out that the incident did not arise from a short circuit or wiring problems, as was previously revealed on social networks after the publication of a video showing the burning decoration. The workers were not part of the Tijuana City Council, but were subcontracted by the Playas de Tijuana delegation, specifically for the assembly work of the catrina. The two victims suffered injuries from a fall and burns, who were treated by Red Cross paramedics and later transferred to a hospital in serious condition. |

Re: Welders Falling from a Scaffolding on Fire
And who welds their own Catrina?!?!?!? I would NEVER touch my Catrina with a welding torch!!! I'd rather get my foreskin caught in my zipper! |
