Watch Deer Smash Through Restaurant Window in the Night and Ransack the Place

A devious deer came careering through the front window of a New York restaurant at around 2:30am on Thursday morning and caused an estimated $3,000 worth of damage.

He took a trip around the dining room before settling down for the night.

Nobody knows where the rogue animal came from, and after he was discovered by cleaners in the morning he was set free.

Manager Kathleen Donish told local media: "The benches were all torn up, the windows had a little bit of blood on them and dirt from where he was trying to jump to get out."

She added: "I’m here 12 years and that is the first time I've ever seen a deer this close to the restaurant."
